Harnessing Sports to Empower Youth and Build Community in Agege LGA

Agege Local Government, under Executive Chairman Hon. Abdul-Ganiyu Vinod Obasa, used sports to engage, empower, and unite youth during the festive period. Live football viewing events, including Nigeria vs Tunisia and Uganda vs Nigeria, were hosted at the Secretariat and Ward C, featuring predict-and-win sessions with cash prizes and recharge cards. These initiatives go beyond recreation, providing platforms for talent development, teamwork, and community bonding, reflecting the administration’s commitment to structured sports programs and youth-centered activities that foster creativity, leadership, and civic participation.
